Leuchtpilze wiedergefunden

Vor Jahren hatte ich das schon mal gefunden, nun endlich wird das auch mal verbloggt.
Es geht um Leuchtpilze und findet sich auf Pilze, Pilze.

Leuchtpilze
Wer sich nachts in den Wald traut, dem kann es passieren, dass er Stellen am Waldboden begegnet, die in einem grünlichen Licht leuchten Es sind dies vom Myzel des Hallimasch durchwachsene Holzstücke. Das Leuchten ist teilweise so hell, daß es früher von nordischen Völkern zur Wegmarkierung im Wald benutzt wurde.

In den Tropen ist dieses Phänomen wesentlich weiter verbreitet. Dort leuchtet nicht nur das Substrat auf dem die Pilze wachsen, sondern auch diese selbst (u.a. bei einigen Helmlingen (z.B. Mycena chlorophos) und beim Leuchtenden Ölbaumpilz) in teilweise hoher Intensität. In Indonesien haben junge Mädchen in früheren Zeiten sich solche Pilze in die Haare gesteckt, um des Nachts attraktiver zu erscheinen. Das Leuchten entsteht auf ähnliche Weise wie in Glühwürmchen und dient möglicherweise der Anlockung von Insekten zur Sporenverbreitung.
Interessant dabei ist unter anderem auch, dass bei diesen Pilzen auch die Mycelien leuchten. Das tun sie auch, wenn sie in einer durchsichtigen Plastiktüte ihr Nährmedium durchwachsen. Was dabei rauskommt sind wunderschöne Leuchtsteine, die keinen Strom brauchen - nur warmes Wetter und etwas Sauerstoff.
