Wir trauern um Dr. Albert Hofmann
Am 29.04.2008 hat uns Dr. Albert Hofmann verlassen. Mit einem Alter von 102 Jahren verstarb er den Pressemeldungen zufolge an Herzversagen. Er hatte ein erfülltes Leben und konnte an dessen Ende ganz sicher zufrieden zurück schauen. Seine wissenschaftlichen Erfolge werden auch 65 Jahre nach seiner spektakulärsten Entdeckung von einem erheblichen Teil der Menschheit gefeiert. Doch nicht nur das LSD-25 gehörte zu seinen Entdeckungen. Er brachte das Kunststück fertig, als Chemiker mehrere Medikamente entwickelt und zugelassen bekommen zu haben - heutzutage ist ein Chemiker mehr als glücklich, wenn im Laufe seines Berufslebens wenigstens mal ein Medikament zugelassen wird. Dr. Hofmann war bis an sein Lebensende aktiv tätig. Er war Teil der psychedelischen Commuity und unterstützte jede Bemühung, sein "Sorgenkind" verantwortungsvoll zu nutzen.Albert, wir trauern um Dich.
